Using the AI Advisor

What the AI Advisor does, what analyses it offers, and how to launch them.

What the AI Advisor does#

The AI Advisor is Margly's main interface — not tables, not charts. You launch a prepared analysis and the Advisor specifically tells you what is happening in your data and what to do about it — clearly, in your language (Margly supports Czech, English, German, and Slovak).

It is not a chatbot for which you have to come up with questions. It is your partner with pre-prepared analyses — you pick a topic, it immediately tells you how your e-shop is doing and what you can do better.

Prepared analysis topics#

In the AI Advisor section you'll find tiles with topics. Click a topic and Margly prepares a conclusion from your data. Margly currently offers these 8 topics:

  • Margins and profitability — where you really earn, where you sell at a loss, what to do about it
  • Customer return rate — who returns, who stopped, whom to target
  • Product mix — stars, underperformers, what to improve in the assortment
  • Shipping and logistics — where shipping eats your profit, which carrier pays off
  • Trends and seasonality — how sales develop over time, when is the peak
  • Overall overview — summary analysis of key metrics
  • Google Analytics — traffic, conversions, visitor behavior (requires GA4 connection)
  • Online advertising — campaign performance, return (requires connected ad accounts)

If you don't have the data source needed for a given topic connected (e.g., GA4 for "Google Analytics" or ad accounts for "Online advertising"), Margly shows the tile grayed out with a link to the integration.

The topic catalog is expanded continuously in Margly — follow news for updates.

What the Advisor's response contains#

Each analysis has 3 parts:

  1. What is happening — facts from the data ("Your net margin is 8 %, which is 3 % less than last month.")
  2. Why — interpretation ("The main drop is in the Cosmetics category — you increased your Meta ad budget by 40 %, but conversions dropped.")
  3. What to do — a concrete action with an impact estimate in your store's currency ("Lower the Meta budget back to pre-increase levels, this saves roughly 25,000, margin returns to 11 %.")

Drilldown analysis — deeper view#

Below each response you'll find the "Continue analysis" section with 2–5 buttons that the Advisor generated specifically for your response (for example "Which 3 products in Cosmetics are dragging margins down?"). Each such drilldown counts toward the monthly analysis limit the same as launching the main topic. In the chain of one main analysis, you can go up to 4 levels deeper (technical limit, same for all tiers) — then Margly blocks the buttons for further drilldown and the message "You have reached the maximum drilldown depth" tells you to launch a new main analysis. Detail in Drilldown analysis.

Common messages and what to do#

If the Advisor doesn't run, it shows you a message. The most common:

  • "You have reached the Advisor monthly limit. Upgrade your plan for a higher limit." — you have exhausted the monthly number of analyses of your tier (see table above). Either wait for the reset on the 1st day of the next month, or move to a higher plan in Billing.
  • "You have reached the maximum drilldown depth." — you made 4 follow-up drilldowns from one main analysis. Launch a new main analysis and continue.
  • "The AI service is currently overloaded. Please try again in a few minutes." — temporary outage of the AI provider. Margly already retried internally a few times, then returned this message. Wait a few minutes and launch again.
  • "The AI analysis took too long. Please try again." — the analysis didn't finish within the time window (typically a combination of a large e-shop and lots of data). Try to launch again, or narrow the period.
  • "The AI analysis failed. Please try again." — generic error on the Advisor side. If it repeats, write to support@margly.io.

If you need data that you haven't yet connected (e.g., the Online advertising topic without connected Google Ads / Meta / Sklik / Heureka), Margly doesn't enable the tile and instead of launching the analysis shows a link to the integration in the Integrations section.
