Why exclude a product from AI#
Some products exist in your store only so other stores can download them via feed — you don't actively sell them. They then show up needlessly in AI analyses (for example as "not selling").
When you mark a product Outside AI, it stops being included in:
- the AI Advisor and its recommendations,
- AI Visibility (mention tracking and generating tracked queries).
How to exclude a product#
Hover over the product row
In the products table, hover over a row (on touch devices the actions are always visible). Buttons appear on the right.
Click the robot icon
The robot-icon button excludes the product from AI (tooltip "Exclude from AI Advisor and Visibility"). Click it again to bring the product back ("Return to AI").
You can recognize an excluded product by the Outside AI badge in the Stock / turnover column.
Bulk exclusion#
To exclude several products at once:
Select products
There's a checkbox on the left of each row. The header checkbox selects all products on the page.
Use the bulk action
A bar appears above the table with the number selected and the buttons Exclude from AI / Return to AI. Clear the selection with Clear selection.
Filter and overview of excluded products#
Above the table there's an AI filter with three options:
- All — all products (default; excluded ones are visible too).
- Excluded — only products marked Outside AI.
- Active — only products that are included in AI.
Good to know#
- Only an owner or editor can exclude products from AI.
- Exclusion persists across product syncs from your store — syncing won't overwrite it.
- For the AI Advisor, the product stops being included the next time the analysis runs.
- For AI Visibility, the excluded product won't be used at the next scheduled refresh of tracked queries.
