Who Srovname.cz is for#

Srovname.cz is a price comparison site — a shopper looks for a product and Srovname shows them the stores that sell it. Positions in the listing are paid per click, so it's a paid traffic source that belongs in your advertising costs just like Google Ads or Sklik.

How to connect#

Srovname doesn't use OAuth. You generate an API key in the Srovname client area and paste it into Margly.

  1. Sign in to Srovname.cz

Open srovname.cz and sign in to the client area with an account that has access to your shop.

  2. Generate an API key

In the client area open API and generate a key.

  3. Paste the key into Margly

In Margly go to Settings → Integrations, open the Srovname tile and paste the key into the API key field. Margly tests it against the Srovname API immediately — if it fails, the connection isn't saved.

  4. Margly downloads your history

Once the key checks out, Margly starts downloading historical data in the background, up to a year back. It fetches day by day with a pause between requests so it doesn't overload Srovname, so a full year takes minutes to tens of minutes. Margly shows you that the history is still downloading.

After that data refreshes on its own according to your plan (Starter 1×/day, Professional 2×/day, Business / Enterprise / trial 4×/day).

What Margly reads from Srovname.cz#

Margly calls a single endpoint — daily PPC statistics — and takes one summary per day from it:

MetricWhat it means
VisitsHow many people clicked through from Srovname to your shop
SpendWhat you paid for those clicks
Average cost per clickSpend divided by clicks, as reported by Srovname
OrdersHow many orders Srovname attributed to its clicks
Order revenueThe value of those orders
Cost-to-revenue shareWhat percentage of your Srovname revenue you spent on clicks. Margly colour-codes it — green up to 10 %, amber up to 20 %, red above that.

Where to find the data#

After connecting it appears under Advertising → Srovname: an overview with return on ad spend, spend, visits, cost-to-revenue share and a trend chart.

But Srovname spend doesn't stay in that section — it counts into your costs and margins automatically, just like Google Ads or Sklik. So it also shows up in:

  • Overview — in total costs, net margin and the cost share
  • Margins — Srovname has its own line in the cost breakdown
  • Return on ad spend — in the point where advertising starts paying off (break-even)
  • Customer acquisition cost
  • The AI Advisor and the data chat — you can ask something like "how much did Srovname cost me last month"
  • My tasks — Srovname spend is part of the total ad spend Margly watches

Currency and VAT#

  • Srovname always returns data in Czech koruna. If your shop's base currency is different, Margly converts spend and revenue at the ECB rate for the day they belong to — and stores both the original value and the conversion.
  • Srovname reports spend excluding VAT. Margly adds your country's rate and stores both variants, so the app shows the one you have set under Billing → Show prices with VAT.

How often data refreshes#

Every sync re-downloads the last 7 days — comparison-site conversions keep arriving and yesterday's numbers still change. If the connection hasn't synced for a while (during an inactive subscription, for example), the next run fills the whole gap, not just the last 7 days.

Days where you had no paid click on Srovname aren't stored at all — they simply have no point in the chart. That isn't missing data: Srovname just cost you nothing that day.

Common errors#

  • "The Srovname.cz API key is not valid or has been revoked" — the key was deleted or regenerated in Srovname. Generate a new one and paste it into Margly again.
  • "This API key is already used by another Margly account" — one key can't belong to two Margly accounts, otherwise data from two shops would mix. Disconnect it from the old account first.
  • "Srovname.cz is only available for shops in Czechia and Slovakia" — your country of business in Margly is set to something else.
  • The connection works but there is no data — the key is fine, you just had no paid click on Srovname in the whole past year (or the key belongs to a different shop). Margly emails you about this on its own.
  • History ends sooner than a year back — Srovname keeps roughly a year of data and won't serve anything older. Where their history ends, ours ends too.

Changing the key and disconnecting#

If you paste a different key, it may belong to a different shop — so Margly deletes the existing Srovname data and downloads the history again from scratch. For a while after a key change you'll therefore see incomplete numbers until the import finishes.

To disconnect, go to Settings → Integrations → Srovname. Margly deletes all downloaded data and Srovname spend stops entering your costs and margins. Your Srovname account isn't affected in any way — we never write to it and we don't manage campaigns or feeds.
